The Audio Stimulus is the soft continuous humming or buzzing sound that comes from your ClariMate. Different fingerings will change the way that the sound of the Audio Stimulus resonates in the ClariMate, and the ClariMate “listens” to the way that the sound changes and uses this information to determine what fingering you are using.
There are four different options for the audio stimulus: Very Soft, Soft, Medium, and Loud. Loud should be used when the ClariMate is being played in an environment that has a lot of ambient noise. Soft and Very Soft should only be used in quiet environments with little to no ambient noise.
You may find that the ClariMate’s note recognition does not work as well after you change the volume of the Audio Stimulus. In this case, it is recommended to do a new Training Set with the Audio Stimulus set at the preferred level.
The ClariMate uses a slightly different Audio Stimulus when using the extended E2-C6 range. Be warned that while this Audio Stimulus extends the range of the ClariMate, it is more susceptible to interference from external noise and changes in temperature.
